We are happy to announce we have received funding from the Mohawks of Akwesasne Settlement Trust to support Operation Takò:s. If you have outdoor cats that you feed and care for but can't afford to spay and neuter and vaccinate, we can help you! The cost is minimal to you and will help your cats be healthy and stop reproducing!
APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED
****Since this project has limited funding, Elders will have priority for participation in Operation Takò:s. All others will be put into a lotto draw for spots.
Each cat will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, and receive a flea treatment.
Owners CAN particpate in the trapping or catching of the cats! If you can't help catch or trap the cats, our volunteers will take care of it!
March 27, 2024Update: As of today, we have trapped, spay/neutered and vaccinated 77 cats!! We currently have applied for a new round of grant monies from the Settlement trust. Crossing our fingers we are approved! Meow!
